Whatever stopped working, this is the list of machines our technicians open. Refrigeration, cooking, dishwashing, laundry, ice, wine storage and built-in coffee – eight categories in total.

Nothing here is priced off a description given down a phone line. The technician meters the machine in front of him, establishes what is genuinely wrong, and then quotes one figure covering the part and the labor together. You are free to say no. Say yes and the diagnostic charge disappears into that figure instead of sitting beside it.

The territory is two towns roughly four miles apart, so the driving between calls is counted in minutes rather than highway miles. That is the practical reason a stalled washer here does not have to sit until Thursday.
