(201) 000-0000Fisher & Paykel service, diagnosed and repaired on site
Fisher & Paykel builds along its own lines rather than borrowing anyone else's. The DishDrawer is the obvious example: two drawers, two cycles, no bending down to a full-size rack, and a design nobody else really copied. SmartDrive laundry is the same story, with direct drive replacing the belt and transmission that most washers still use.
Original engineering is a pleasure until it needs attention, and one problem on this brand cannot be left alone. A DishDrawer with a hardened lid seal leaks out the front, into cabinetry and across a floor, and an F1 code means water has already reached the base tray. That is not a next-week appointment. This shop covers two adjacent Bergen County towns and drives nowhere else, and short distances are exactly what let us reach a leak quickly. What the visit costs is fixed before the appointment, one price is quoted once the machine is understood, and the whole repair carries a documented warranty.
Twin dishwasher drawers, each running its own cycle, which is inspired until one drawer stops cooperating.

Where Fisher & Paykel equipment tends to give trouble
- DishDrawer leaking out the front during a cycle Age hardens the lid seal until it can no longer press tight against the drawer rim. Water escapes at the front edge instead of staying inside, and it lands on cabinetry and flooring rather than in the drain.
- F1 flashing on the drawer display Water has reached the flood switch in the base tray and the cycle has shut itself down. Clearing that code means finding the leak that filled the tray, not resetting the machine and hoping.
- SmartDrive washer hums while the drum stays put Direct drive leaves two parts to suspect: the motor control module and the rotor position sensor. With either one dead, the motor energizes on schedule and the basket never turns at all.
The DishDrawer is a genuinely good idea, two independent drawers and two independent cycles. It is also a machine with a lid seal and a flood switch, and when either one lets go the water has somewhere to be: your cabinetry and your floor. We work two adjoining towns in Bergen County, so a leaking drawer here tends to get looked at fast instead of landing in a slot somewhere next week.
Straightforward Diagnostics
A Fisher & Paykel leak gets moved up the schedule, because water under a drawer does not stay under the drawer. When you call, the first thing you get is how to isolate the supply so nothing worsens while a technician is on the road. On site the diagnosis runs in order: lift the drawer out, inspect the lid seal for hardening and set, check the base tray and the flood switch that stopped the cycle, then trace upstream to the real source, whether that turns out to be a hose, a fitting or a pump seal. An F1 code does not clear because somebody reset the machine. It clears when the leak behind it no longer exists.
OEM Parts
Because this brand engineers its own architecture, the parts are specific and worth naming. Lid seals and wash motors for the DishDrawer. Motor control modules and rotor position sensors for SmartDrive laundry. Evaporator fans, dampers and control boards for the columns and the integrated refrigeration. Those parts come through the maker’s own supply network and we fit genuine ones whenever they are still catalogued. Earlier DishDrawer generations are where availability tightens up, and if the part for yours has been retired you find that out at the diagnosis, with the real options laid out, rather than a vague promise that somebody will keep looking.
The Number You Are Given
Our diagnostic charge gets named at the time you book, and accepting the repair strikes it from the total. Nothing gets priced before the machine has been tested, because a leaking drawer might be a seal that costs very little or a wash motor that does not, and quoting without knowing which is guessing dressed up as service. Once it is clear, you have one price covering that fix end to end, with a written guarantee behind it. If a unit has enough age on it that buying new is the sensible answer, you will be told exactly that, and you can pay the diagnostic and stop there.
DishDrawer, Refrigeration and Laundry Work
We take on single-tub dishwashers and the DishDrawer, refrigeration in integrated, column and French-door form, freezers, ranges in gas, induction and dual-fuel versions, cooktops and wall ovens, washers of both the front-loading and top-loading kind, and dryers using condenser or heat pump drying. Take the quote and the diagnosis charge is removed from what you owe.
