New Jersey issues trade credentials to electricians and to plumbers. Nothing equivalent exists for appliance repair in this state, so anyone claiming one is selling you something. What we can show you is real: liability insurance, a criminal background check before anybody is hired, the EPA Section 608 credential on anybody who opens a sealed system, and manufacturer training on the equipment our people work on.

Testing Comes Before the Number

Nobody here quotes off a description. The machine goes on a meter first, because two appliances doing precisely the same thing can be doing it for reasons that have nothing in common, and the gap between those reasons is the gap between a thermal fuse and a control board.

When the testing is done you get a single price covering everything the job takes. Approve it and the diagnostic charge is folded in rather than added on. The invoice matches the quote.

A Straight Answer About Replacing It

There is a point where a repair stops making sense, and we will name it. Once the number climbs toward half the price of a comparable new machine, the money is better spent on the new machine, and you will hear that from us even though it hands the sale to somebody else. Fitted equipment usually runs the other way, because swapping a paneled column drags cabinetry and a carpenter into the job.
