Appliance Installation

Some of the machines we are called out to are not broken. They were installed wrong, and they have been protesting about it ever since. Paying attention on installation day is the cheap version of this conversation.

What an Install Includes

• Old unit disconnected, drawn out and hauled off.
• The new one leveled, and its door or drawer squared to the opening.
• Supply, drain and gas connections made up and proved one at a time.
• A complete cycle run through before we leave the address.
• Panels hung, with the hinge spring tensioned to the actual weight of the panel.

Fitted and Panel-Fronted Work

A stacked oven pair, a refrigeration column, a dishwasher hiding behind a cabinet door: each of those drops into an opening cut for one particular model and nothing else. In Teaneck that opening is frequently older than the appliance it now has to hold. The tape measure comes out before the order goes in. If the new unit will not go into the old hole without carpentry, that conversation happens early rather than on delivery day.

Gas Work

No gas appliance is signed off here until the manifold has been soap-tested at every joint and each burner has been lit and watched through its range. Same standard in a kitchen and on a restaurant line.

Commercial Placements

For a restaurant, an office kitchen or an apartment building the sequence is identical but the timing is yours: delivery staged so it does not block a service, every connection proved on its own, and the machine run through a complete cycle before anyone needs it.

Bought Somewhere Else

It makes no difference where the appliance came from. A delivery crew and an installation are two different jobs, and the second one is what protects your coverage: a unit set up outside the manufacturer’s specification is a unit that manufacturer can argue about later.
